Description
We will focus on the basic skills of jewellery making such as design, sawing, soldering, filing, sanding and polishing. Learn about working precious metals. Develop a design that can be taken into a brooch.
Set tasks will be expected for you to do, to give you the skills that will enable you to make a piece of body adornment to a high standard.
Content:
* Design, concept, drawing ideas to scale and discussion of ideas
* Sawing, filing, soldering, sanding and polishing
* Discussion and feedback on finished works
Objectives:
To be able to design and fabricate a piece of body adornment to a high standard
Outcomes:
* A piece of quality work
* Skills and knowledge to work precious metal
* The ability to draw to scale the work of your chosen design

$15 for consumable items - please pay at materials shop the first day of class and show receipt to Tutor. Other costs dependent on materials used.
